In Australia, this product is marketed as Femular. Internationally it is sold as Ze 450 and is manufactured by Zeller AG International.

Femular® (Ze 450) is a tablet containing the extract of Actaea racemosa that is clinically proven and may assist in the relief of menopausal symptoms.1-3 It is manufactured in Switzerland by Zeller AG, a herbal medicine company with over 130 years of experience in the research and production of natural medicines.

What is Femular used for?

Femular contains a unique extract of Actaea racemosa – Ze 450 – that has been shown to assist in the symptomatic relief of menopausal symptoms.

Menopausal symptoms can include:

•         Hot flushes
•         Sweating
•         Sleep disturbances
•         Nervousness, irritability
•         Dizziness
•         Lack of concentration
•         Joint pain
•         Headache

Safety & efficacy

Clinical trials have demonstrated that women using Femular have a significant reduction in menopausal symptoms. Some treatments used for menopausal symptoms may cause health concerns due to their oestrogenic action. Femular does not exert a direct oestrogenic effect.4 Femular is very well tolerated, with no report of serious adverse effects and no association with liver problems.

Femular's unique formulation

Femular is an extract of Actaea racemosa that has been clinically proven, it is the exact product used in clinical trials. This is very important for natural medicines as there can be great variance between products, even if they appear to use the same active ingredients, due to the plant that is used, growing methods, harvesting processes and manufacturing methods. The outcomes of clinical studies for natural medicines may therefore only apply to the exact product that has been tested. As a result, other Actaea racemosaextracts or products cannot be expected to deliver the same results that Femular has demonstrated in the research.

Directions & dosage

Adults: Take 1 tablet daily for mild to moderate symptoms. Take 2 tablets daily for moderate to severe symptoms.

Symptom improvement can be expected within 2 to 4 weeks of starting treatment, with optimal effects after 3 months.
