Iodine 0.5% Alcohol 70% 100ml Bottle

Composition:

A dark, yellow-brown spirituous liquid containing Iodine 0.5% w/v or 1% w/v in Ethanol 70% v/v. Actions Iodine has potent bactericidal activity and is coupled with the bactericidal activity of alcohol in this formulation.

Indications:

For use as pre-operative treatment of unbroken skin. Directions for Use Decant required volume into a sterile container. Apply undiluted to pre-cleaned site using a sterile applicator. Leave for 2-5 minutes prior to incision. Discard unused portion.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to Iodine preparations.

Precautions:

Do not swallow. Not to be taken. Solutions containing Iodine applied to the skin should not be covered with occlusive dressings. If skin irritation or rash occurs, discontinue use immediately.
