SFI Health Flordis Remotiv 60 Tablets AUST-L 219716
For the relief of:
- Nervous tension and stress
- Mild anxiety
Remotiv® (Ze 117) has been shown to assist in the relief of nervous tension, stress and mild anxiety.1 Remotiv contains a specific extract of St John’s wort (Hypericum perforatum) that has been evaluated in a number of clinical trials. St John's wort has been used since the middle ages to help manage anxiety and stress. It was the ancient Greek herbalists, such as Hippocrates, who originally documented the medicinal uses of St John’s wort.
Remotiv may help to support healthy mood. It is recommended for people experiencing the following symptoms:1-3
- Mild anxiety
- Nervous tension
- Irritability
- Stress
Remotiv has been studied in over 2000 patients, including a one year safety study that showed continued improvement of symptoms during this time.4 In clinical trials, Remotiv has been very well tolerated and resulted in very few side effects, predominantly gastrointestinal upsets.
Remotiv is contraindicated if you are taking antidepressant or mood-altering medication. If you are currently taking prescription medication, it is important to talk with a healthcare professional before starting Remotiv.
The specific extract of St John’s wort used in Remotiv (Ze 117) contains consistently low levels (<1%) of the constituent hyperforin,5 which is considered responsible for the interaction between some St John’s wort products and certain medications.
Remotiv tablets contain a specific extract of St John’s wort that is manufactured in Switzerland under unique production methods, ensuring consistently high quality.
Clinical trials have been conducted using the same extract that is found in Remotiv (Ze 117). The actual extract is very important for natural medicine as there can be great variance between products, even if they appear to use the same active ingredients, due to the plant that is used, growing methods, harvesting processes and manufacturing methods. The outcomes of clinical studies for natural medicines should therefore only apply to the exact product that has been examined.
Adults: 1 tablet morning and evening
An improvement is usually seen within 1 to 2 weeks of starting Remotiv, though it may take 2 to 4 weeks to achieve the full effect. Remotiv is recommended for a minimum of 4 to 6 weeks and ongoing therapy may be appropriate.
Always read the label. Use only as directed. If symptoms persist, or the condition recurs, it is important to speak with a healthcare professional.
Remotiv is clinically proven, it is the exact product that has been used in clinical trials. This is very important for natural medicine as there can be great variance between products, even if they appear to use the same active ingredients, due to the plant that is used, growing methods, harvesting processes and manufacturing methods. The outcomes of clinical studies for natural medicines should therefore only apply to the exact product that has been examined. As a result, other St John’s wort extracts or products may not deliver the same results that Remotiv has demonstrated in the research.
Remotiv starts to work straight away and you should begin to feel better within 1 to 2 weeks. However, depending on individual circumstances, it may take 2 to 4 weeks to feel the effects. It is important to speak with a healthcare professional if you have specific questions or concerns.
A course of treatment should continue for 3 months, although it can be continued for a year or more, depending on the advice of your healthcare professional.
The available data suggests that Remotiv is appropriate for long-term usage. A one-year study showed tolerability and continued improvement over this time.4 If you have specific questions or concerns about how long to take Remotiv, it is important to speak with a healthcare professional.
There is no evidence for any concern when using Remotiv in pregnancy and lactation, however, there are also no clinical studies that have been conducted in pregnant and breastfeeding women. As a result, Remotiv tablets should only be taken under the advice and supervision of a healthcare professional.
Remotiv is not recommended for adults under the age of 18 years. If you have specific questions or concerns, it is important to speak with a healthcare professional.
Remotiv is generally very well tolerated and adverse effects are not expected. Rarely, people may experience gastro-intestinal disturbances, fatigue or nervousness when taking Remotiv. It is not recommended that people with known light hypersensitivity take Remotiv. If you have specific concerns, it is important to speak with a healthcare professional.
Remotiv should not be taken with certain medications, including antidepressant medications, certain immunosuppressants, warfarin, digoxin, certain hormonal medications and anticonvulsants. If you are currently taking prescription medication, it is important to discuss this with a healthcare professional before starting Remotiv.
It is recommended to stop the treatment of Remotiv approximately one week before surgery. It is important to discuss this with your healthcare professional, including your anaesthetist and surgeon.
