Vita B12 Injection contains hydroxocobalamin as the active ingredient, which is a form of vitamin B12.
It is used for the prevention and treatment of anaemias (a decrease in the amount of red blood cells in the body) associated with vitamin B12 deficiency. It is also used to treat diseases of nerves in the eyes.
Directions
Your doctor will decide what dose you will receive. This depends on your condition and other factors, such as your weight.
Vita B12 Injection is given as an injection into a muscle.
It must only be given by a nurse or doctor.

hydroxocobalamin chloride 1mg/1ml
Warnings
You must not be given Vita-B12 Injection if you have an allergy to:
- hydroxocobalamin
- cobalt
You must not be given Vita- B12 to treat megaloblastic anaemia of pregnancy

By: Holly on 20 January 2023The actual medication is fine, however they come in an all-glass vial that you have to snap in half with your fingers to open. Have cut my thumb many times doing this, even after following the directions carefully. The process of opening the vial is not safe in my opinion.
